Best Western Named ‘Best Mid-Range Hotel Chain’ for Second Year

Bangkok (Thailand) – October 25, 2016 – (travelindex) – Best Western Hotels & Resorts is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the title of ‘Best Mid-Range Hotel Chain’ in Travel Weekly Asia’s 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards for the second consecutive year.

The award was voted for by the readers of Travel Weekly Asia – one of the largest travel trade publications in the Asia Pacific region.

Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations – Asia, said he was extremely happy with the award.

“To have been named as Asia’s Best Mid-Range Hotel brand for two years in a row is a great honor, and testament to the lasting power of the Best Western brand,” Mr. Berrivin said.

“What makes this award even more special is the fact that it was voted for by the readers of Travel Weekly Asia, who represent the Asian travel trade. Best Western always strives to develop and maintain strong relations with our travel industry partners, so their continued support and recognition is extremely gratifying.”

Mr. Berrivin also said that he is pleased that Best Western has retained its strong reputation in the midscale sector, following the recent expansion of the Best Western brand into new market tiers. These include the upscale Best Western Premier and BW Premier Collection brands, along with Vīb and GLō, the two newly-launched lifestyle concepts.

“Best Western has a proud 70-year history of providing quality midscale accommodation,” he said. “While we have expanded from these strong foundations in recent years, it is pleasing to know that our brand retains a leading position in the midscale sector.

“Guests can rest assured that, no matter which Best Western product they choose, we will always stay true to our core brand pillars of providing comfort, convenience and service excellence,” Mr. Berrivin concluded.
